Our Namesake Irwin and Susan Molasky were notified there would be a school named after them when they were in France. "We were honored and overwhelmed with pride" said Susan Molasky. Irwin's favorite story was walking with a group of "soon to be" Molasky students to break ground on July 1st 1998. A boy holding a banner asked him who he was, when he replied Mr. Molasky, the boy said "I thought you were dead!" Mr. Molasky found that to be so funny.
The Molasky's have been in Las Vegas since 1951. They have seven children and nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mr. Molasky is a building pioneer. Some of his accomplishments include:
the first golf community; Paradise Palms

the Towers Hughes Center.
he created The Nathan Adelson Hospice to serve the terminally ill, regardless of their ability to pay
and also donated 45 acres of land and raised 700 million to start UNLV.
Outside of real estate, Molasky helped launch an entertainment company that produced TV hits such as “Dallas” and “Knots Landing.”
The Molasky family has attended every Awards Night since Molaksy JHS first opened. It's exciting for our students and staff to see them each year as we celebrate our Molasky Magic Super Stars.
Our Molasky JHS family was very saddened by the loss of Mr. Molasky on July 4, 2020.
