Molasky is truly a wonder as it was built in a year from the outside in. They did not have the right permits to start construction. Usually buildings have the pipes and wires put in first, then the concrete and last the exterior. The construction was not without setbacks and some worried it would not open in time. Mr. Molasky stepped in and corrected the permits once he visited the construction site and saw what was happening.
After the first day of scheduled construction, the whole construction site was stopped. It was due to the presence of a burrowing owl and its family.
Before Molasky opened, hot air balloons used to take off and land where our grass fields are today.
Mr. and Mrs. Molasky came on the first day teachers reported to school to welcome us and meet each one of us. It was such an honor to meet them. Mr. Molasky charted a bus and treated the entire staff to a barbeque lunch at the Paiute Golf Course.
Ms. Gaura, Mrs. Schmutz, and Mrs. Wojotowitz had fun building a snowman in the Principal's truck. We had a few snowball fights too.
