The Leadership and Law Prep Academy at Canyon Springs High School has a long history of success in North Las Vegas, NV and the surrounding area. With eight phenomenal programs to choose from, students will be challenged academically while forming lifelong friendships and professional networks while still in high school. We currently offer programs in law, global studies, business, military science, forensic science, robotics, landscape design, and cyber security. Our courses are taught by a diverse group of highly qualified educators with vast experience in their chosen disciplines.
All students in the magnet program are required to complete service hours and an internship program within their chosen major. Several opportunities will be presented to students throughout their time at Canyon Springs to meet all program requirements. Canyon Springs also offers several Varsity and JV sports as well as more than 30 different extracurricular clubs that offer service hours credit. We encourage students to get out into their local community and build networking skills along with a portfolio of volunteerism.
Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, the Magnet Council has been responsible for helping build the programs at Canyon Springs and building and maintaining relationships within the program. Juniors and seniors in each major have an opportunity to apply to and serve on the magnet council. Freshmen and sophomores will have the opportunity to shadow the council and apply to be major representatives.
