Opportunities for Connection
All EOD professional growth opportunities are designed to help new teachers create a joyful, productive learning environment for all students. Teach Like a Champion (TLAC) workshops directly align with the Y1 New Teacher Induction Academy (NTIA) monthly modules and go into more depth on each TLAC topic. Education Meet-Ups (EMU) and Community Meet-Ups (CMU) offer an innovative delivery model to cultivate new teacher growth and a sense of belonging. The virtual Instant Impact series offers new teachers simple yet powerful tools and techniques that provide immediate classroom impact. Check out the information below for more information.
TEACH LIKE A CHAMPION (TLAC)
EOD provides new teachers with two different opportunities to help teachers create joyful, productive learning environments while maintaining academic rigor through in-person workshops. All first-year content focuses on Building Strong Classroom Culture, which aligns with monthly Y1 NTIA modules.
Practice and feedback are the heart of each workshop!
EDUCATION MEET-UP (EMU)
EMUs provide a space for teachers to collaborate and share instructional strategies and expertise. New teachers leave their classrooms behind to join in on the infectious activity of trying new ideas with other teachers. Newbies can choose topics that interest them and stay as long (or as little) as they like within each session!
COMMUNITY MEET-UP (CMU)
CMUs bring teachers and community partners together. Each location provides teachers with all the information they need to participate in the organization's field trips, utilize their outreach classroom materials, all while exploring the site for FREE!
INSTANT IMPACT SERIES
These virtual sessions equip new teachers with essential tools for a successful school year. Topics include:
Preparing for Open House/Meet the Teacher
Family Communication
Essential Classroom Procedures
Building Classroom Community
And much more!
Check out EOD's calendar of new teacher events below. ELMS registration is required for all events.
