Before requesting a subsitute teacher through SmartFindExpress, teachers must login to hcm.ccsd.net and put in for their absence. After completing this step then move on to the following directions...
Always notify supervisor of any absences.
Go to SmartFindExpress. LINK: https://ccsd.eschoolsolutions.com/logOnInitAction.do
Log in using your credentials (Access ID and Pin #).
Click CREATE ABSENCE.
Click on REASON drop box and select reason code.
Put START AND END DATE.
Then click on the correct check box(es) for the date(s) you will be out.
REPORTING MULTIPLE DAYS?
If the days are non-consecutive, remember to "uncheck" the day(s) from the weekly schedule.
If every day of the absence does not start and end at the same time, remember to change the times on the weekly schedule.
If you have a specific substitute, enter in their Sub ID # or use the Lookup tool to find them by name.
Select whether they have selected the job or not.
*If you do not have a specific substitute, leave it blank.
Put Substitute Instructions.

Once done, click CONTINUE.
Double-check that ALL information is correct, then SUBMIT.
