Results and Measures

The Roles and Responsibilities for principals, School Associate Superintendents, and the Superintendent outline their respective responsibility for academic and non-academic programs and school culture. In alignment with these responsibilities, accountability measures are included in a visualization within the CCSD Datalab, available to principals, School Associate Superintendents, and certain other CCSD staff members at datalab.ccsd.net.

A variety of data will be used to measure the implementation and results of all academic and non-academic programs. Annual Districtwide survey results will be used to measure the perceptions of each stakeholder group on dimensions of the school climate including perceptions of the school, safety, communication, upkeep of facilities and equipment, and involvement in decision making.

As accountability measures shift or other data points are identified, they will be included in the school accountability visualization. Stakeholders may also access additional data sources in identified areas of strength or concern.

SCHOOL NARRATIVES

The School Performance Plan will include an area for schools to enter narratives. This information will be displayed in the Dashboard and Accountability Report for schools.

DISTRICTWIDE SURVEY DATA

Districtwide survey results will be used to measure the perceptions of each stakeholder group on dimensions of the school climate including perceptions of the school, safety, communication, upkeep of facilities and equipment, and involvement in decision making. Surveys will be administered annually in November and December so that data can be available as part of the process for developing the Plan of Operation.

Data and visualizations for Districtwide surveys will be available to principals, School Associate Superintendents, and certain other CCSD staff members in the CCSD Datalab at datalab.ccsd.net.

1. The student survey includes additional dimensions in alignment with the Nevada School Climate and Social Emotional Learning Survey and the CCSD Pledge of Achievement.

2. The parent survey includes additional dimensions in alignment with the CCSD Pledge of Achievement.

The timeline for the parent, student, and staff Districtwide Surveys for 2017-2018 is as follows:

Also, a survey will be administered to all school-based staff in the spring of 2018, in addition to the Districtwide Survey in November-December. The purpose of this survey will be to gather feedback regarding satisfaction with the services received from Central Support and Services.

RESULTS WEEK MEETING

During September of each year, schools must conduct a public Results Week meeting. The achievement and survey accountability data for the school will be reviewed. Adjustments to the Plan of Operation, including the strategic budget and School Performance Plan, may also be made based upon the data, in collaboration with the School Organizational Team.

The Results Week meeting must be a public meeting and could be a standalone meeting or part of an agenda for a School Organizational Team meeting in September. Please see the section Annual Calendar and Timeline of Events and Required Public Meetings for a detailed list of all school activities pertaining to the Plan of Operation and required meetings.

Since parents wishing to participate in Results Week meetings may have students attending multiple schools, it is suggested that schools work within feeder alignments and their Performance Zone to ensure that schedules for meetings are not in conflict with one another.

PLEDGE OF ACHIEVEMENT REPORTING

The measures included in the CCSD Pledge of Achievement (pledgeofachievement.com) will continue to be calculated and reported. Data elements within achievement and survey accountability measures will continue to be collected to ensure the consistency of reporting.
