After looking at some of the artwork from the famous artist Wayne Thiebaud, students will get a chance to create their own Thiebaud inspired work. They will learn a little about the pop art movement, and create their own masterpiece in the form of a cupcake! We will learn about, and use, a complementary color scheme when choosing our colors in our painting.
Objectives:
- Introduce students to the life and work of Wayne Thiebaud
- Create a cupcake using form (3D not flat)
- Learn about complementary colors and apply them to their painting

- Sharpie
- Tempera cakes
- 9 x 12 white media paper
- Color pencils/Color sticks
