September Focus: Skill Review
For the first month of school, we will be reviewing my classroom expectations and some of the important skills we learned last year in 4th grade. Since our computer lab sessions are only once a week, we’ll spend plenty of time reviewing and practicing to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident in computers.
We will start by reviewing word processing skills using Google Docs. Students will practice essential skills, including keyboarding, formatting text (style, size, color, etc.), and inserting, cropping and editing images. They will also be introduced to a new skill of editing the page setup (margins, paper size, background color, etc). They'll apply all these skills when creating an Acrostic Poem from the letters in their name.
