September Focus: Skill Review
For the first month of school, we will be reviewing my classroom expectations and some of the important skills we learned last year in 3rd grade. Since our computer lab sessions are only once a week, we’ll spend plenty of time reviewing and practicing to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident in computers.
We will start by reviewing word processing skills using Google Docs. Students will practice essential skills, including keyboarding, formatting text (style, size, color, etc.), and inserting images. Students will also be introduced to a new skill of cropping and editing images. They'll apply all these skills by creating a cover sheet for their classroom "Smart Folder." After that, we will transition into some Digital Citizenship lessons.
