The University of Montana is offering two lodging choices:
Single Occupancy - In a room with two beds. These rooms share a community bathroom on the same floor.
Double Occupancy - Each room has two beds. These rooms share a community bathroom on the same floor.
All rooms will be in Knowles Hall.
NOTE:
There is NO Tent camping or RV parking available on campus.
However, the Missoula KOA campground has an option for folks who would like to camp. It's located about a 15 minute drive to the west of campus.
The University does not allow children to sleep on floors.
Only two guests of any age are allowed to share a room.
If this will present a hardship to your family, please let the Registrar know right away.
Friends may stay off-campus by choosing that option during registration. The Comfort Inn University and Double Tree are both nearby.
For Friends staying in dorms, NPYM offers several lodging communities:
Families with Children
Young Adult Friends
Men Only
Women Only
All Genders (including Families without Children)
Friends of Color
LGBTQ+
Junior Friends
Please note (particularly if selecting "All Women" or "All Men" lodging) that NPYM has committed to the inclusion of Friends of all genders. This means that each Friend chooses for themselves the lodging community (and bathroom, etc) that they belong in, and we as a Yearly Meeting community work to support these choices.
Please also note that the "Friends of Color" lodging community is intended only for Friends of Color, and in some circumstances their family members.
Meals
During Registration, each attendee will specify which meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) they plan to eat in the Dining Center each day.
Simple Meal
This year we have the opportunity to revive our prior practice of offering a “simple meal” as a way of expressing our solidarity with those who have no choice but eat simply, as well as to raise funds for the independent Quaker non-profit Right Sharing of World Resources. The meal is tentatively scheduled for Friday lunchtime, and will take place at the University Center foyer, rather than in the dining hall, pending enough interest. The meal will be beans, rice and a green salad, with water to drink, and will be catered by the University’s food service; we expect each meal will raise at least $3 beyond the cost of catering. If you’re interested in taking part, please check the relevant item when selecting your meals during online registration.
