Contra/Family Dance - 6:30-8:30pm (all ages and beginners welcome - we’ll start with a lesson!). Live band featuring Escher Arslanian, Michael Arslanian, Kathy Brown, and Henry Plewa. Called by Eric Curl.
Contra dance is community social dancing to live music. It's lively, joyful, welcoming, and fun! People have been contra dancing since the 17th century — in barns, in kitchens, in dance halls, in churches. The dance form is syncretic, a tradition that evolved when European, Black, and Indigenous dance and music forms met and mixed. It’s uniquely American!
No partner is needed — you dance with everyone! Dancers line up in long parallel lines and, in pairs, make their way down that line, dancing with the other pairs of dancers they meet along the way.

Walking Group - 6-7:45pm Forest Loop Trail to visit the Evergreen Organic Farm. We will meet at the Welcoming Woman statue on the Eastern side of Red Square across from the library at 6 pm.
The college sits at the center of 1,000 acres of forest. It is a popular campus trail for hiking and walking in a Douglas Fir and mixed hardwood setting. This trail is 2 miles with a slight elevation gain through a fern gully.
The first part of our hike will be on paved surfaces to get us to the narrower forest trails. If there is interest we can take a 20 minute detour to the Long Houses and finish by 8:15 pm. In the evening, we might have some insects about so it would be advisable to put on some insect repellent and bring water.
See you Happy Hikers soon,

Extended Worship (1:30 to 4:30 p.m.) led by Marcelle Martin and Euclid Bautista
Extended worship is an opportunity to be together in a meeting for worship that lasts an extended period of time. Come be steeped in the Divine in the company of other Friends for two and a half hours, followed by worship sharing about our experience. During this more spacious period of worship, Friends often find themselves settling into a deeper place after the first hour. Such meetings for worship are more likely to become gathered. Sometimes they begin to feel timeless. It is often an opportunity to allow the Spirit to do some deep healing or transforming within us.
During the meeting for worship, Friends are invited to make their bodies comfortable and, if needed, to quietly leave and then to return to the room. Most newcomers to Extended Worship are surprised at how quickly time passes, and by about how refreshed they feel. All are welcome. Join anytime during the session.
