Young Adult Friends (YAFs) are Quakers ages 18-35/40. This community is vital to the ushering in the evolution of Quakerism and for stewarding the transition between Junior Friends and the Quaker community at-large.
There used to be a YAF Committee within NPYM. However, COVID coupled with folks aging out led to the disbandment of this committee. There is a leading to revive this committee with the intention of building a network of YAFs across NPYM. If you are interested in getting involved or in any of the upcoming YAF activities, please reach out to Megan Cody at friendly.megc@gmail.com.
You are invited to explore these upcoming events if you are interested in connecting with YAFs:
June 14: a virtual gathering with YAFs from our entire section, which includes Canada, the US, and Latin America
July 9-13: NPYM's Annual Session
There will be programming for YAFs to build community with one another and, hopefully, find continuing ways to embolden this intention across our region. Please reach out to Megan Cody if you cannot attend but would like to virtually attend the YAF programming.
