Wayne State College offers more than 200 types of scholarships. Complete the scholarship application process after you apply for admission and are accepted to WSC.
The Admitted Incoming Freshman Scholarship Application is the primary application for first-time freshmen UNK scholarships. It’s available in students’ MyBLUE from August 1 to March 1, and becomes accessible only after being admitted to UNK. By completing this single application, students are considered for most scholarships. However, some scholarships require a separate application, which can be accessed from the list below.
Who can apply for the True Potential Scholarship?
-Immigrants residing in Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa
-Wishing to attend a Community College in Nebraska or Council Bluffs, IA.
The True Potential Scholarship is aimed to help students who want to:
-Work towards a 4 year degree by completing a transfer program at a community college and then going to a university or
-Work towards obtaining a technical degree from a Community College or
-Learn a second language or enroll in any class at a Community College that would help them reach their True Potential.
STEM CONNECT Scholars will be awarded a renewable scholarship, with a maximum of $8,000 per year, up to four years at UNL or two years at SCC or WNCC followed by an additional two years following the student’s transfer to UNL. We hope to offer up to 62 STEM CONNECT Scholarships to first and second-year students between our three campuses.
The application process for the STEM CONNECT scholarship varies between UNL, SCC and WNCC. At UNL, the application for STEM CONNECT is available through the student's MyRed account under the undergraduate admissions tab. This application is open to all applied or current students who will graduate from high school in May 2020 (or before). Applicants enrolling at UNL also must declare a major in mathematics, computer science, computer engineering or software engineering before the scholarship is awarded, in order to be eligible.
Students applying to SCC or WNCC (and not UNL) will apply for the scholarship via the CSMCE application portal at http://go.unl.edu/scimathapply. The same process applies to current students at SCC and WNCC.
Students enrolling at SCC or WNCC need to enter the Academic Transfer program with STEM-focused career goals that include taking either a math or computer science course each semester. Our Frequently Asked Questions site, https://scimath.unl.edu/stem-connect/faq, describes more about how to apply.
To receive one of these scholarships, you must be involved in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) with a National Guard unit while in school, and have a letter of acceptance from a local Guard unit stating that they will accept you in an SMP status. Following graduation, cadets begin a new Military Service Obligation (MSO) contract and serve eight years in the Guard, which includes training.

The high school scholarship program is now open. You must DOWNLOAD AND READ THE APPLICATION GUIDE to confirm eligibility for the 2026 school year. Prospective applicants must intend to enroll college and enter the AFROTC program beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year.
The scholarship application window will be open July 1, 2025 through December 12, 2025. Completion of your junior year of high school is required for all ROTC applications. Please do not start an application before that.
IMPORTANT: Prospective applicants planning to take one or more gap years between high school graduation and college entrance must apply during the cycle for the academic year in which they intend to enroll in college and begin the AFROTC program.
Kiwanis is an organization dedicated to serving the children of the world. As a Service Organization, priority is given to scholarship applicants who will be working with children or who will be working in the service of others. Emphasis will also be placed on the financial need of the applicant
One $750.00 scholarship will be given to a NHS student.
CARRIAGE HOUSE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The JOHNNY BAXTER CARRIAGE HOUSE FOUNDATION is pleased to announce the continuation of its scholarship program for students interested in attending one of Nebraska’s Community Colleges to study in an automotive related field. A $2,000 grant will be awarded in each of the six Community College areas in Nebraska for students pursuing training for an automotive career. Students who meet the following criteria may submit the attached application form:
1. All seniors planning to attend a Nebraska Community College in the fall of 2026.
2. Applicant must be planning to enroll in one of the automotive related courses of study.
3. Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from at least one teacher describing the applicant’s aptitude and attitude and student must include a transcript of his/her grades.
4. Applicant must submit a cover letter to be attached to the applicant form indicating his/her interest in the automotive field and their plan for technical training.
5. An interview and reference letter from a New Car Dealer would be given additional consideration.
6. Applicant must meet the above criteria and submit his/her application to the Carriage House Foundation no later than Friday, April 3, 2026.
The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District has established a scholarship program for graduating high school seniors who are planning to further their education in a natural resources or agriculture related field. To be eligible for a scholarship the student must meet the following criteria:
Must be a graduating high school senior who resides, or whose family owns land, within the Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District.
Must have an overall grade point average of a 2.0, or higher, on a 4.0 grading scale at the end of the first semester of his/her senior year in high school.
The student must submit a cover letter in addition to the application form.
Must attend an accredited college, community college or vocational school the semester following graduation.
Must direct his/her course study towards curriculum related to natural resources or agriculture.
The deadline to apply for a LENRD Senior Scholarship application is Friday, April 3, 2026.

The Norfolk Noon Optimists will again be awarding three $500.00 Carol Gall Memorial
Scholarships this year to seniors graduating from any of Norfolk’s three high schools.
Enclosed is an application we invite you to complete and a form to be filled out by your
counselor. Consider carefully who you ask to write your letters of recommendation!
Service and involvement in the community weigh more heavily that class rank and GPA.

American Legion Post #16 offers to award at each Norfolk High School one $500.00 scholarship eligible Son or Daughter, or Step-son or Step-daughter, or Grandson or Granddaughter, or Step- grandson or Step-granddaughter, of a current Norfolk Post #16 or Squadron 16 Sons of the American Legion member in good standing. The eligible applicant must be a graduating high school senior.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS:
1). PAYWIENT: The $500.00 scholarship is to be paid jointly to the approved school and the scholarship winning student as a one-time payment at the time of the tuition payment for the first semester. The student must have been accepted for enrollment at the approved school. li is a one- time only scholarship to be used during the first semester of enrollment immediately following the year of graduation or the scholarship will be forfeited.
2). USE: The scholarship may be used at any accredited University, College, or a State approved vocational School of the studeni’s choice where he or she has been accepted for study.
3). DEADLINE: The deadline for applications to be delivered to Post #16 is on or before April 15" of the applicant’s senior year in high school.
4). ALTERNATE: If there is more than one qualified applicant for a scholarship, an alternate shall be selected to receive that scholarship award and used in the event the original winning student does not use his or her scholarship award.
5). APPLICATION FORMS: Applicants are to complete the application forms as are provided by the American Legion Post #16 and be neatly hand printed or printed by a computer printer.
Please submit a typewritten paper specifying how you have shown involvement, leadership, and commitment to the Catholic faith, your school, and your community. State your reasons for desiring this scholarship and your plans for your advanced education.
Application Criteria:
Must be a female of the Catholic faith in her senior year, and a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Norfolk.
The names of each applicant will be unknown to the Altar Society Scholarship Committee. The school Guidance Counselor will number each applicant.
Two Scholarships of $750 each will be awarded — one to a Norfolk Catholic student and one to a Sacred Heart Parish student attending another school.
The selection committee will consist of members of the Sacred Heart Altar Society.
Applications are due in the respective guidance office by April 17, 2026.
A transcript of the student’s grade point average and class rank are required.
Rutt’s Mechanical Services (Commercial HVAC) is releasing a scholarship for those interested in going to HVAC tech school in Nebraska! This opportunity includes paid tuition with one specific requirement: you must work for Rutt’s Mechanical Services for three
years after your college graduation.

2. This scholarship must be used at Northeast Community College. This scholarship is valued at
$500.00 for the 2025-2026 school year.
3. The applicant’s name should not appear on the application form to insure impartiality in
judging. Each applicant will be assigned a number by their high school counselor.
4. The applications will be judged by a committee composed of Local 1005 Union Members.
5. The applicant shall write a short essay on their personal plans and goals in the future. It shall be
typed, double spaced, and a minimum of at least one page.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a member of the graduation class.
Must have participated in Norfolk Express Soccer Club for a minimum of two (2)years. Must not have participated in a competing soccer club.
Information and Regulations:
The application for the scholarship must be submitted to your high school guidance counselor by 12:00 pm, Thursday April 16, 2026.
Selection of the winners will be done by the board of directors of the Norfolk Express Soccer Club. Any member of the board who has a conflict of interest will recuse themselves. All applications will be number coded for identification and names of applicants will be unknown to the Norfolk Express Soccer Club Board until after the selection has been made.
The James M. Cox Foundation offers scholarships to students in Nebraska with demonstrated financial need, with particular emphasis on the eastern one‑third of the state. For 2026, the Foundation will award 55 scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000.
Completed applications must be postmarked no later than April 22, 2026 (extended from April 15). A copy of the scholarship application is attached.

Wis-Pak is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of high school seniors and college undergraduates through the annual Wis-Pak Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the scholarship is to reward individuals who look to further their education and are passionate about creating a better future through school and community involvement, leadership, and citizenship.
Ten individuals throughout the communities that Wis-Pak serves will be selected by Scholarship America to receive a $1,000 one -time scholarship. As part of our commitment to education, five graduating seniors or college undergraduates who are dependents of employees, or are part-time or seasonal employees of Wis-Pak will also be eligible to receive a $1,000 one-time scholarship.
Applicants to the Wis-Pak Scholarship Program must:
Be dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time or part-time Wis-Pak employees who are employed as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee and/or are children who qualify as federal tax exemptions to the employee.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than three business days after the application deadline date.

Norfolk City Education Scholarship (NCEA)
The NCEA will award one $250.00 scholarship to a student whose parent or guardian is a current member of NCEA.
The recipient will receive a check made out to the recipient. The check may be used for the remission of tuition, fees, board/room, and /or books.
Applications are due to the Guidance Center of Norfolk Senior High School by April 30th.
Recipients may attend any college or technical school of their choice.
Recipients must rank in the top half of the graduating class of their high schools.
Recipients must have a parent or guardian who is a current NCEA member.
Preference will be given to those graduates planning to pursue a career in education and/or have demonstrated a commitment to working with youth.
For the 10th year, Nebraska Triangle will present scholarships to women and men planning to pursue their higher education within a qualified STEM academic field. The considered fields of study are: Engineering, Architecture, the Physical Sciences, the Biological Sciences, the Computer Sciences, and Mathematics; along with a few related fields.
Any high school student who will be a freshman at UNL, during the Fall 2026 Semester, is eligible. Our scholarships will be awarded under the auspices of the University of Nebraska – Triangle Organization. We will award one $2,000 scholarship, along with multiple smaller scholarships.
The application deadline is Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Interviews will begin in February. Scholarships will be presented at an awards dinner, details of which will be announced.
