Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is an excellent way to get involved in both the school and local communities and is also very useful for a resume and college applications. We work with the local library, the Department of Human Services, the Rotary, the Newington Chamber of Commerce and other organizations who frequently contact us looking for high school volunteers for various events or sometimes on a more regular basis.

We also work with students to apply to all of the local hospital volunteer programs. These programs have become increasingly competitive in recent years with a limited number of students accepted into the program. We work with the hospitals to obtain all relevant information and application deadlines so that we can ensure our students have a fair opportunity to apply.

We encourage all students to volunteer – it’s a great way to connect you to the community, to feel good about helping others, and to show extra-curricular involvement.
