Internships

Internships offer a longer-term experience for students to learn more about a career. They are usually a semester long, after school, or over the summer, and range from 60 hours (1/2 credit) to 120 hours (1 credit). Internships are governed by state rules and regulations and participation in an unpaid internship is limited to 120 hours.

Students are required to participate in a safety training prior to beginning the internship, track their hours and complete evaluations. They will also be evaluated by their supervisor. At the end of the internship, students must complete a 1-2 page reflection paper about what they learned and liked/didn’t like and send a thank you note to their supervisor, before credit will be awarded.

We are always looking for partners who can host NHS students.
