Annual Career Fair
Each year, we bring in local professionals representing numerous industries and disciplines for a spring Career Fair. All students are required to attend the fair as we feel it is equally as important for freshman and sophomores to explore various careers, many of whom may be just beginning to figure out what they want to do post high school, as it is for juniors and seniors to meet with these professionals and have an opportunity to ask questions regarding education and other requirements for a particular field. The career fair is an excellent occasion to reach students, educators, and community partners who collaborate with Newington High School in striving to ensure that all children in Connecticut in high school have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
2023 Career Fair!
Over 50 local professionals are speaking about their careers in many different fields are available for students to explore. Students get to meet top Industry Leaders In Media/Broadcasting ,Engineering, Healthcare, Small Business, Public Service, Construction, Culinary and many more! Students also have the opportunity to ask questions to the attendees to learn more about possible jobs and internship opportunities. All students who participate in the Career Fair during an Advisory Period will complete a related activity. Students are invited and encouraged to explore the website at their leisure.
