Learning Partnership Welcome to Kindergarten:
They changed their tag line to “Talk, Read, Create and Play every day! to better align with the global competencies of creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, citizenship and character. They also extended WTK beyond the one-time orientation session held by schools to a series of WTK Learning Through Play activities for families to use with their children throughout the Kindergarten year. The new WTK Learning Through Play series consists of four family engagement opportunities (this will be increased to six in 2022!) which provide:
Extended learning from the WTK orientation session(s)
Play-based activities that make use of resources in the WTK program throughout the school year
Links between classroom learning and learning at home through cross-curricular activities focused on literacy, mathematics, creative exploration, and social-emotional learning
Ideas for outdoor experiences and how to promote health and well-being e.g. Each issue contains a variety of fun activities and recipes from our WTK cookbook
