We welcome new members to the New Plymouth Academy of Judo and we extend a warm invitation to you to join us.

When you join our club, you get to enjoy a whole range of benefits as well as being part of a group of like minded people that enjoy learning a martial art in a friendly and safe environment.

These benefits include -

• Official recognition as a Judoka by Judo New Zealand, the official organisation for Judo in New Zealand
• Access your registration details including your record of achievement online
• Access to online resources such as approved techniques and videos of techniques
• You will be coached by Judoka who have attained or are in the process of attaining officially recognised coaching qualifications by Judo New Zealand
• Grades (belts) you achieve will be recognised in all Judo New Zealand affiliated clubs
• Grades (belts) you achieve will be recognised in clubs throughout the world affiliated to the International Judo Federation
• You will be allowed to attend North Wellington Judo Area training
• You will be allowed to attend Judo New Zealand recognised training camps
• You will be allowed to compete in Judo New Zealand recognised tournaments
• You will be eligible to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games providing you meet the selection criteria and make team
• You have pathways to become a coach recognised by Judo New Zealand
