Our junior classes are for children aged 6 to 10 years old.
Junior classes are about learning the fundamentals of Judo with 'fun' being integral to the learning. Many of the activities will take the form of games to keep juniors motivated as they learn new skills and build their confidence. Each class begins with warm up exercises before leading into the skills.
Juniors will learn -
Classes are run by coaches or assistant coaches who have completed or are progressing through the approved Judo New Zealand coaching courses.
Our aim is that your child develops confidence to take on new challenges, acquire new skills and makes new friends in a safe and fun environment. Underpinning the learning are the the eight values of the judo moral code taught to every judoka from the first time they enter a dojo - Respect, honesty, self-control, friendship, courtesy, honour, courage and modesty.
