Graduate Credit

Graduate Credit: How Does it Work?

North TIER partners with Colorado State University Online to bring you the opportunity to earn 2 graduate credits in lieu of 30 recertification points for most courses. Spanish for Educators courses do not qualify for graduate credit.

Note: You cannot enroll in the graduate credit option before the course begins. So, there is no option during course registration.

Steps:

  • During week 1 of the course we will send out an interest survey along with requirements and fees information (see the home page for fee details). Completing the survey does not obligate you to enroll.

  • In week 2 we send out information about enrollment forms. If interested, complete the enrollment form and make payment by the deadlines.

  • Complete all your courses work at an above satisfactory level.

  • Successfully complete a graduate level reflection and research paper / action plan. You can start this work during the course and are given up to ten days after the end of the course. This is the thirty additional hours of work and product that fulfills the graduate credit portion.

  • If completed successfully you will earn 2 graduate credits in lieu of recertifcation points. (You cannot earn both!)

  • Once grades are completed you will be able to order a transcript from Colorado State University.
