All students must be enrolled in a minimum of 5-1/2 units of credit per year. Seniors must be taking a minimum of 5 classes per semester. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors may take no more than one study hall per semester.
The following are required credits for graduation:
Four (4) units of credit in English.
Three (3) units of credit in Social Studies to include: (1) World History (1) American History, (1) Government
Four (4) units of credit in Mathematics including Algebra II
Three (3) units of Science (1 Physical, 1 Life, 1 Elective).
One-half (1/2) unit of credit in Health.
One-half (1/2) unit of credit in Physical Education.
One (1) unit or two half-units (1/2) of credit in Fine Arts
One-half (1/2) unit of credit in Financial Literacy (Class of 2026 and beyond)
Class Placement: All students are classified based on the year they enter high school.
Each student is personally responsible for periodically evaluating course selections to ensure all minimum standards are met prior to graduation. Students are reminded that graduation requirements are set by the Board of Education and are subject to change.
