The Stark County Manufacturing Workforce Development Partnership (SCMWDP) is a collaboration of area manufacturers and stakeholders. The partnership was officially formed June 19, 2021 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Founding members and officers include James Batchelder (formerly with M.K. Morse) as President, Thomas Schmidt (from Comfort Systems U.S.A) as Vice President, Mike Hoffman (formerly with Lindsey Precast) as Secretary and Allen Green (retired from H-P Products) as Treasurer. The partnership was formed through collective efforts by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, Stark Economic Development Board and MAGNET.
Our Mission: SCMWDP supports Stark County manufacturers’ growth and expansion by offering seamless career pathways, delivering inclusive training and education, and sharing best practices within the manufacturing workforce development community: manufacturers, workforce development professionals, economic development organizations, educators, and community-based organizations.
