Founded in 1805, the City of Canton has a rich history and multiple national attractions that will make you proud to call Canton home, including the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the McKinley Monument. The Canton Fire Department has approximately 154 firefighter/paramedics and officers who are progressive in seeking the latest technology and training to complete our mission of service to the Hall of Fame City and surrounding areas. Opportunities for movement include Firefighting Operations, Paramedic Operations, Engineer, Fire Prevention Bureau, K-9 Operations, Training Bureau, Technical Rescue Operations Team, Water Rescue Team, HAZMAT Team, SWAT Medic, and Public Education.

We serve adults with developmental disabilities. Our staff and interns help with job skill development (through chocolate-making and trainings), inter-personal/ social skills, recreational outings, and much more. We have internships available, but full-time staff must be 21 or older.
