We say that we are in the Blue Zone when we are feeling tired, sad, or hurt. It is when we don't have enough energy or alertness to learn. We might need to go to the nurse or find a quiet space to rest and take a break.
The Green Zone is what we're going for! It is having just the right amount of energy and alertness to learn. It's when we are happy, calm, and able to listen to our teachers, family, and friends.
The Work is in the Yellow
We use our mindful strategies when we are in the Yellow to keep ourselves from going too deeply into the Red or the Blue.
The Red Zone is when we have too much energy. It could be that we are elated (very, very excited) or angry. This is when we might need help from an adult to keep ourselves and those around us safe.
Watch as these students go deep into the red and then relax their way back to the green.
