A good teacher is a teacher who cares about their students and lets creativity go. I have had many great teachers over the years and all of them have some things in common. Those teachers all cared about their students, gave good advice, and were able to make jokes. A good teacher would make you want to go to school.
Great teachers will still take authority though, but they wont need to as much because a good teacher would be respected. Good teachers are patient even though it is very hard to be. One of the greatest teachers I have had (my sixth-grade teacher) always let us do our own thing, and even when it was wrong they wouldn’t yell at us but instead teach us more.
A great teacher is a teacher who is also being tough and knows that everyone makes mistakes. But the greatest teachers don’t have to be the nicest and know what is truly best for their students. Some could even sacrifice for their students; they aren’t only there to teach but to learn as well. Most great teachers I have had have also been funny, but still relatively strict.
Good teachers are scarce, but great. That's what makes them good, if every teacher was great they wouldn’t be great they would be normal teachers.
