Prayer Warriors
with Mrs. Shannon
Mrs. Shannon had a friend who used to help me lead this group and her name is Terry Hardison. She was an angel on our campus. If you needed anything, Mrs. Hardison would always be there for you. She went above and beyond caring for our students, staff, and families. She inspired me to lead the Prayer Warriors. I miss her dearly. Another reason why I lead this club is that it is so important for students to have a place to share their faith, have fun, and fellowship.
The Prayer Warriors have been around for a long time. I want to say we started in the early 2000's.
We usually start with a small group and it is growing.
This year we have the Pais Team joining us which is so great. They are from many different countries around the world. It is their ministry to share the love of God with today's youth. We are so blessed to have them because they organize games, and provide snacks and prizes.
Chess Club
with Ms. Ruiz
I LOVE chess! There is so much strategy that goes on in the game. I thought it would be a great opportunity for students to enjoy playing a strategic and fun game while learning how to think critically.
Running club
with Ms.Koutzoukis
This club is all about promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. This is a club to play running games, learn about running form and nutrition, meet new friends, and most of all have fun.
So far we have 15 kids signed up, and we are hoping this number will grow as the year goes on. I started this club because I have a passion for exercise and running and living an active lifestyle has so many benefits. Additionally, I wanted to create a group where students who have an interest in exercise could gather, socialize, and have fun!
The thing I like the most about my club is that everyone wants to be there. Not only are students having fun, but they are also making friendships and challenging themselves! It makes me happy to see smiles and fun!
