Put, put, put. My bare feet hit the mud as I ran. Everything was cold. I am cold. The frigid wind pierced my skin as I ran. The fog of my breath was covering my face as I breathed out. I ran and ran, my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. I ran deeping into the dim forest where the tree's veins were sticking out from the ground. I wish I- Thump! My face landed into the muddy ground covering half of my face with mud. I looked down to see my feet wedged between one of the tree veins. I rolled myself into a ball as I heard dogs barking get closer towards me. I hiccuped as I gripped my white muddy dress with my silvering hands and tried to control my tears from falling,“Mother, Father I am sorry.”
Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm woke me up.I groaned as I felt around trying to locate my alarm clock. I cracked open my sleepy eyes and looked around. I punched my alarm across the room. I sat up in bed about to get ready for church. I got some choices: a pink dress that my grandmother brought me or a dark green that my grandfather brought me. I tapped my feet wondering what I should wear, “mini miny mo!” My finger landed on the dark green dress. I put it on as I stumbled over the stair trying to get my shoes on. I landed on the last step to hear my mother humming. The smell of eggs filled the living room as I hopped on the chair. My father was sitting in his usually spot on the left of the table. My mother laid the plates of scrambled eggs and bacon in front of my father and I. I picked my fork up and started stabbing at the eggs. My father put his phone down and started talking to my mother, “Have you heard anything about him?” My mother combed through her blonde hair before she spoke, “I heard that they will be making the final decision today. Ill be reciving a call in the evening to hear the final verdict” I gazed around as I felt the pressure in the room worsen, “Shouldn't we be going to church?” I said quietly, hoping we could run late so that we would not go to church. My parents jumped up from their seats and started to scramble. My father got the car keys and patted my shoulders, “Good eye sweety.” I sighed as I climbed into my seat in my car as my father started the car. “They should invent seatbelts, it's just not safe.” My mother complained. As we drove every turn I slid around the back seat. With a hard stop my body got flinged into the car seat. My mother hurriedly got out of the car and opened the car door to get me out of the car. She dusted me off, “this is why we should have seat belts! For my little sweet to not hurt her fragile body.” She smiled as she saw my father get out in a hurry, “I know Sandra but I think we got the exact person to invent it dont we?” They looked at me smiling as they grabbed my little hands leading me into the big church. As we got in we shuffled into some empty seats at the back of the church. “If Larya reminded us earlier we could've been at the very front seats!” My father whispered angrily. My mother patted his back, “All it matters is that we got to church.” We sat down as church started, the priest started yelling how someone betrayed Jesus but church is sometimes boring. I just wish I could go in and pla- Buzzz. A buzz echoed around the church from my mothers phone. She stumbled to get her phone out of her piece, as she got it out her phone. She gave my father a side eye and pointed to her phone with her eyes. My father took the sign and got up at the same time as my mother stood up. My father nugged me to get up and I nodded at him. We walked through the entry of the church and just looked at the phone as it buzzed in my mothers hands. My father took the phone away from my mother and snapped at her, “if you don’t answer then I will.” Saying that she answered the phone. His face looked serious but turned into a worried face. I gave my mother a worried face but turned when he locked eyes with me. My mother twirled her hair looking worried. When my father finally turned towards us he looked towards the ground as he tightened his grip on the phone making his veins pop out, “He didn't go to jail.” As he said that he looked angry and handed the phone back to my mother. We went back to the car and we're goin back towards my house. “Don't talk to anyone new, Larya” My father said as he rubbed my head. As we parked my mother got out as usual and got my hand leading me towards our house but her hand tightened around mine as we got closer to our door.
I was walking back from school looking around my surroundings. “Hey there little missy, can you get that for me.” A lemon rolled in front of me and looked towards the person that was talking to me. His blond hair was getting blown from the wind, his feet crossed in front of himself but the thing that was the most noticeable was his long blonde eyelashes almost covering his eyes as he smiled at me. I picked it up and handed it to him. He grabbed his lemon back and I started walking back to my house. I felt a gentle hand grabbing my wrist, “Why don't I give you something in return?” The man smiled leading me back towards him, he pulled his pocket knife out and started cutting the lemon into different sections. He handed me one piece and shocked my head, “I don't really like lemon by itself.” He nodded with a sad expectation as he took the peace back towards him. I looked at him as he took a bite of it without flinching from the sourness. “My parents used to walk me in this park and feed me some lemon everytime I felt sad.” He smiled while looking towards the ground. I sighed and sat down next to him, “I lost my grandparents but they made me some dresses for me to wear before my parents stopped talking about them.” He gave me a lemon and smiled, “My parents used to say eating a lemon will make the sour go away.” I grabbed the lemon and took a nibble but spat it out to see how sour it was. He laughed and patted my back, “Don't you think your parents want you to be home at this time?” I realized i have been talking to him until the sun was going down. I hurriedly got my stuff but he grabbed my hand, “I am a grown up, I should drop you off since it's getting late.” I sighed in relief, I pulled him back onto his feet. We got into his car Ramm Ramm Ramm. The engines started heating up. “Get ready to enjoy the best ride of your whole life.” As he said that he put on a sun glass and handed me one too. I put one on, “What do you mean?” He smiled, rammed the engines and put one hand on the gearshift. He pressed full with gas making me pressed onto the back seat more. As we drifted around town I was sliding around the back seat, some corners I needed to hold onto the head rest. As we passed my church I pointed, “That's the church my family goes too!” He chuckled, “Church? Why would you go to church, it's boring!” I screamed in extent as I got flinged around the backseat, “We are planning to go back to church at the morning but i don't want to wake up early tomorrow!” As i said that he laughed, “Can you go to church at night right?” I nodded as i tried to hold steady. He placed a hand over his chin rubbing it, “than i might be able help you.” He pressed the full brakes, making me hit the car seat. I got my backpack and waved him goodbye. He lowered his sunglasses making me see his eyes again. As he smiled his eyes got smaller, “The names Blake” He drive before i could say anything back. Blake, Blake, Blake. I repeated into my mind as I opened the front door. I got greeted by my parents hugging me tightly, “Where were you? Why are you this late?” I looked around avoiding eye sight but my mother cupped my face making me look at her. “I was just late because i was worried for church tomorrow.” My father sighed in relief, “There is nothing to worry about. Jesus will help you overcome that fear.” My mother looked closely into my eyes but patted my back.
Next day I woke up early and got ready as usual, put on a pink dress and went downstairs. No one was there, everything was empty, cold. I climbed back upstairs to find my father passing around the room answering phone calls as my mother was on the laptop. They both looked over towards me, “We need to miss morning church but we are still going to night church if it's fine for you?” My mother said quietly. I nodded, my mother walked over towards me and smiled at me sweetly. “That's my girl.” She said so quietly as she hugged me tightly. She patted my head and pointed at the bread that was meant for some birds but she wanted to give it to me. “That's all I can do right now.” She mouthed. I grabbed the stale bread and went to school. As I walked back from school I crashed into Blake. He chuckled, “So did you go to church?” I shook my head, “No, my parents had a lot of work but we are going at night.” Blake looked at me and a limon out and put some salt on it, “I think I have the solution to that.” He chuckled and ate the whole limon. No reaction like always. He patted my back, “How about you don't have to ever go to church after this trip?” I smiled as I nodded, “Sounds pretty great to me.” I walked off thinking how he would pull this one off.
It was night my parents made me go to church. We got inside our car and started going towards our house. My mother was humming a sweet song as she looked out the window of the car. My father started singing and waving his hands as he sang. On the other hand I was in the back just doing my little miny dance. Everything was good until I heard my mother gasping, “Harold watch out!” She grabbed my fathers arm, digging her nails into his arm. When I looked over to see what was happening and saw the headlights of a car almost touch my car. Is this how it feels to have everything in slow motion? I looked inside the car window to see Blake smiling without his glasses. Boom! The car rolled all over the place making me hit all the sides. My mothers hands are everywhere, Crunch! Everytime the car made it towards the ground a crunch sound of bones getting crushed echoed. That's when the car stopped and I flinged out the window. I groaned as I looked around.Blake was walking towards me looking around the scene. Once we locked eye contact he looked surprised. He came over to my side and sat down, “It was supposed to be a one way to death but of course you didn't die.” He started peeling a lemon open and smiled at me. He looked at my leg that was full with cuts and grabbed it pulling towards him, “Let's just finish this.” He sprayed lemon onto my cuts and I screamed. He got some salt and sprinkled it on my leg like it was a meal ready to be devoured. I looked down to my leg and saw the flesh twitching. I yelled as hard as I could. “We don't have people knowing your still alive.” He ran to his car and took some pills. He chuckled, his eyes almost covered by his eyelashes as he hovered the pills in front of me. He grabbed my mouth forcing it to open and pushed the pill into my mouth making me swallow it. As I screamed I started to lose my voice. He smiled as he explained, “The pill is made for people like you that scream. The more you scream the more it expands into your vocal cords. Cogging it makes you not able to talk ever again.” He went into the moon as a cut from his cheek was dripping blood. My eyes got foggy but he was the only one I saw before I passed out.
Beep, beep, beep. I woke up to the sound of my heart beat in the nations. I looked around and saw the doctors rush over towards me. They rushed me with questions but when I opened my mouth to talk nothing came out. I tried and tryed but only gasped air came out of my mouth. No this can't be! I tried until I caught blood. The doctors stopped asking me questions but just started looking around the room from something. “Your mother has not died from the car crash.” When they said that a long blond girl walked inside the room. I looked at her looking up and down. Her eyes were covering his eyes, “Her eyes got hurt.” One of the doctors said. The doctor scared away from us. My mother started walking towards me and hugged me tightly, “I missed you sweety.” Her voice was the same. I choked out cries as I hugged her. As she hugged me she turned around to the doctors, “Is there any chance I could take my sweety back home?” The doctors talked among themselves then turned back towards my mother, “You could take her home but don't let her talk too much.” She grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently, “I would want her to rest so I will take her home.” Saying that my mother grabbed a white dress and handed it towards me. “They won't let you take the hospital dress but I got one just for you.” I grabbed it and put it on. Perfect fit and it was so comfy. She led me towards the car after filling out some papers. She put me in the back seat but there were two dogs inside the car. “I got some pets just like you asked when you were little. I hope it's not too late.” She faced me with a worried face. I nodded and smiled. As she started driving the car was so confry that it made me sleep.
Bump! The bump made me wake up from the long nap. I rubbed my eyes trying to get myself to wake up. I looked around and saw that we were in a foggy forest. I tapped my mothers car seat and she turned around. The scar on her cheek was scary. This isn't my mother, I backed away from him as he looked at me. “What's wrong? You finally realized that I wasn't your mother?” He chuckled as he pulled down his wig revealing his smiling eyes. His eyes were covering his eyes as he smiled more and more. I banged on the door trying to get in. As I got the handle and pulled on it Blake got my hair tie and pulled it off of me as a tape to get me back into the car. I landed on my knees into the muddy path. I got myself up and started running, I looked behind me as he led the dogs outside of his car. He let them sniff the hair tie he got from me, “run run little bunny.” The dog started running towards me and i didnt want to look back. I ran and ran by the dogs' feet clapping behind me getting closer and closer. I looked up and prayed “please Jesus help me!” I prayed until Boom! I plummet into the muddy floor. I looked behind me and saw the dog so close. I rolled into a ball and tried protecting myself. “I am sorry mother and Father.” I coughed out. The dog's paw was right in front of me. I looked up and saw the tongue of the dog's mouth covering my face with it. With the mouth wide open as my face was in it, “Oh Jesus help me.”

“Today November 6th. Four high schoolers and two civilians were killed at the roller skating rink. Nicole Adams, Jasmine Miller, Cassie James, and Ciara James. Witnesses say it was a masked man, with a greenish gown covering themselves and a michael myers mask,”stated the local news man who is blading from the front. He was outside the roller skating rink. That is the skating rink i was supposed to be in but im not im in the crowd trying to push over the reports and nosy people. Just to get a glimpse of my friend's lifeless body. Ever since is was 7 I have always been interested with death. That was the thing that I wanted to watch, true crime, and unsolved cases. Anything that had to do with death. And at first Shannon and David thought it was weird but I'd grow out of it, until they caught me with a dead bird and a kitchen knife that was covered with blood. And on my 8th birthday they took me to therapy and I had to take a handful of meds for psychos.
“Mackenzie! Did you take your pills? I still see four on the counter! And remember that I'm having a friend come over so don't come home until later” yelled Shannon.
Shannon and David have been cheating on each other for the last 14 years, ever since I took those meds they changed, they became distant from themselves. David last year got our maid pregnant and my mom kicked him and her out of the house, and i'm pretty sher he is having another one in june. Shannon and David are my parents, ever since I took those meds I felt no sense of feeling, no love, Hate, sadness. Absolutely nothing, on thursday [the day of the killings] i heard little whispers in my head that were telling me not to take my meds, i didn't, and throughout that whole day i felt weird. In the car ride, walking up the school stairs and to my locker
“Mack! Girl, I've been calling you all day and you still dont page me back!” yelled Nicole from half the hallway.
Nicole is my friend. I've known her since my first time going to therapy . Her mom is my theorist, Mrs. Shedd is the only person in this town that knows about my psychos
Shannon and David pay her extra to keep the secret. Shannon was a cheerleader with blond hair and blue eyes and was popular, so of course she’d be embarrassed of her mental child.
“Mack! Hellooo, are you listening to me?” asked Nicole
“ Oh yeah. Sorry, my head hurts. That's all.” The more I keep talking the more my head seems to be whispering to me.
The day felt like a plur with each class going by faster and faster
“Mackie cheese, are you going to the roller skating rink with us? i herd Savannah and Nicole are coming” Said Mila, me and Mila have the same last period and we walk together to the mall.
“Umm, I don't know, I think Shannon might make me stay in since I yelled at her this morning.”
“Oh ok well if you do go can you pick me?”
“Yeah i'll try.” I said walking away from the dingy art door with my head ringing and little whispers like there in a fight, bickering back and forth.
I remember that day when I heard that bird my head was ringing and there were 2 voices in my head. One telling me not to heart the bird and the other telling me that its noray to hert things. I walked 2 whole miles from school to my house, it was just me and my voices.
“Mackenzie, Why are you here? I thought you were going to the skating rink with Savannah and nicole?” yelled Shannon from the living room i knew she was with someone i didn't even want to ask I just walked out the front door not even closing it all the way. I thought about going to the mall but I knew i would see my friends there and the only place in town where they NEVER go is the Library. I walked about half a mile before making it to the library. It was quite no one there but Mr.keel at the computer and Mrs. shelly at the library.
“Oh, its our first youngen in the library, The computers are right there to the left sweet heart.” Mrs.Shelly stated and Mr. keel laughed
No person in town actually went to the library for books, you only went because your parents took your computer privilege and you needed to check on myspace or facebook, and that's also the reason i came here. Shannon didn't want me home for her “friend”. I went to the computer and I logged in to myspace. And the first thing i saw was a tweet that stated “ Blond hair bimbo Mackenzie has to take psych meds LOL”
Not that many people at school liked that I was too popular to picture perfect. And at first i didn't care who sent the tweet until i clicked on the profile it was Nicole. Then I looked at all her other posts. They were all about me and how I was psycho and she even took pictures of the meds. The more I kept searching the more it felt like I was losing air. The more the little whispers became yelling screeching, shouting in my head. The only thing I know to do is ball up my fist and pound on my head just hoping the voices will depart from me.
“Keel, she ok?” said Mrs.Shelly
“I don't know she was fine a minute ago!”
“Mackenzie baby you ok?” asked Mrs.shelly
I flung my arms that were still in the balls and i hit Mrs.shelly in the face
“Ahh” scratched Mrs.shelly
“What in the name of Jesus is wrong with her!” yelled Mr. keel
Mrs.shelly nose was bleeding when I saw it. It was like deja vu. The bright fresh blood dripping from her pointy nose was exciting and the voices in my head became louder and louder. And Mr. Keel also became louder and louder.
I don't remember the rest but the next second I'm looking in a dumpster, and I come across a long green coat that covers all of my body. After I put that long coat on I knew that I needed to confront Nicole and all her minions and I knew where they were . And then I noticed that i'm at the roller skating rink. “Go through the back door! This is your chance!” the voices in my head yelled
Then the next second i was in the rink, standing on the side lines there were only 6 people there Nicole, Jasmine, Cassie, Ciara, and Savannah were there
“Their talking about you saying you a melt nut case”said the voice in my head
The voices were too loud. I blacked out but my body was moving, the voices in my head controlled me. The next second I'm in the snack bar, where the guests aren't supposed to be. In the corner of my eye I can see a worker in her bright pink outfit. She seems to be getting closer and without a thought I grabbed the knife ...

Ethan, the teenage boy, all he can over hear is people saying how excited they are for ¨the¨ halloween party or how the party is going to be so fun. Ethan with curiosity, starts questioning himself. All his head is filled thinking about the halloween party.
2nd period goes by, while they are learning math. A kid from across the room, kind of popular, more as well known, whispers, ¨Ethan!!¨ Ethan turns around to look at him, and the kid, named Jackson, throws a paper note at him. ¨What's this??¨ Whispers Ethan from across the room. ¨Just read it¨ Jack replied whispering. Ethan read the note, and he was surprised to see that it was the invitation to a halloween party, rather the one everybody has been talking about. Ethan fills up with excitement, but is embarrassed to show it, so he calmly says, ¨Thanks man i'll be there!¨ Trying to be chill about it.
The rest of school goes by, and Ethan's last period, band. Ethan has one class with his best friend, Mack. Ethan and mack talk a lot together, like they are siblings. ¨Yo. Did you get the invitation for the party as well?¨ Said Mack. ¨ Yea, but my dad would never let me go..¨ Ethan said. ¨Just sneak out¨ Mack replied mumbling. ¨Whatever¨ Ethan snarled back..
¨Hey dad?¨ Ethan quietly said to his father. ¨Yes??¨ Ethan's dad snapped back.
¨can i go to a halloween party?¨ Ethan said quietly. ¨Absolutely not, end of discussion go back to your room¨ Ethan´s dad said while slumping back in his chair with two bottles of stone cold bud-lights, one in his hand and the other on his lap.
Ethan is angry while dialing the numbers to Macks house. ¨Bro guess what¨ Ethan said angrily. ¨What¨ Mack replied. ¨My dad said no, as i said¨ Ethan snarled. ¨Remember what i said about sneaking out?? Trust me it will be easy¨ Mack said. ¨I said no. Its too risky¨ Ethan said, annoyed. ¨Please man.. do it for me. I cant go alone there.¨ Mack asked quietly. ¨Fine¨ Ethan said.
Ethan´s dad is quietly watching tv. Ethan is really deciding on if he wants to sneak out or not.. Ethan whispers to himself, ¨Do it for myself.¨
Ethan slowly creeps downstairs, checking to see if his dad is asleep. To be Continued...
