Create a list

Creating a list is the starting point for many of the most important tools in Votebuilder, such as canvassing and phonebanking. We can also use lists to quickly enter data, run data analysis, and build other lists.

Creating a List

1) "Create a List"

Select "Create a List" from the left side panel

2) Create a New Search

Select the criteria you want the voters in your list to match. There are a lot of criteria to choose from, so if you need any help, check out our Criteria Explanations page.

Note: If you see a criteria appear as a blue link, you can click the link to select multiple options for that criteria.

3) Adding Steps

We add steps to manipulate our list by adding voters and removing voters who match another set of criteria. To add a step, click the "Add Step" button and select the step type you'd like to add.

4) Preview My Results

Get a count of how many voters this search will return.

5) Run Search

This will create your list. You can always go back and edit it later if you need to.
