Baseball Alberta has a variety of different scholarships available. One application needs to be submitted to be considered for the Baseball Alberta Scholarships & the Edmonton International Baseball Federation Scholarships.
Criteria:
Doris Taylor Scholarship ($1000):
This scholarship is presented for post secondary studies to an athlete who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance, community service and strong athletic abilities as a baseball player with Baseball Alberta.
Bob White Memorial Scholarship ($1000):
This scholarship is presented annually for post secondary studies to an athlete who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance, good sportsmanship, community service and strong athletic abilities as a baseball player with Baseball Alberta.
Carl Linden Scholarship Bursary ($2700):
Awarded annually to the Baseball Alberta player, male or female, who best exemplifies the qualities of hard work, perseverance, and dedication to the game of baseball. It is specifically designed for those players who have progressed through Baseball Alberta's "grass roots" programs, showing heart and hustle while overcoming obstacles in order to play the game.
Ron Hayter Bursary ($5000 x 3)
This bursary is presented by the Edmonton International Baseball Foundation to encourage players with Baseball Alberta to pursue college or university studies with the ultimate objective of obtaining a degree.

The Equity Scholarship was instituted in 2009 to address the shortage of team members from four groups; Indigenous Peoples, Persons with Disabilities, Members of Visible Minorities, and Women. Pattison Media believes that by supporting the career development of these groups, the industry will access an untapped pool of potentially talented employees, encourage diverse viewpoints and backgrounds, enhance relationships with local communities, and broaden the advertiser and audience base.

The selection of a Loran Scholar is unique in its attention to a young person’s character. We believe that integrity, courage, grit and personal autonomy are better indicators of overall potential than standard academic measures. To discover these traits, we administer the most comprehensive and thorough scholarship selection process in Canada. Tenable at 25 partner universities, the Loran Award is valued at $100,000 over four years, including mentorship, funding for summer internships and participation in an extensive network of past and present scholars. This year, we are offering up to 36 Loran Awards.
Criteria:
Be in your final year of uninterrupted full-time studies in high school.
Present a minimum cumulative average of 85%.
Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
Be at least 16 years of age by September 1st of the following year.
Students who graduated and are currently taking a gap year are also eligible to apply. (one gap year right after their graduation year)

Description:
Federated Co-operatives Limited and the Co-operative Retailing System are helping tomorrow’s ag leaders get a head start on their careers. The Excellence in Ag Program is a unique scholarship and internship opportunity that helps finance a student’s education, provide valuable field experience, and build their professional career in the agribusiness industry. Up to four students studying agriculture or business at an accredited institution will enter the program every year.
Paid internships will be available for up to three years in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, or Alberta. During this internship, students will be fully integrated into the Agro Team at a retail co-operative.
Upon successful completion of post-secondary education, students have the opportunity for full-time employment — including a signing bonus — at a retail co-operative.
Criteria:
All applicants must be entering or already enrolled in a diploma or degree program in agriculture or business at an accredited post-secondary institution.
