Making Leprechaun Traps.
Design thinking at its finest as we brainstorm, plan and create our traps!!
Will we be lucky and catch a Leprechaun????
We made leprechauns and dreamed up what we’d do if we caught one.
Let’s just say there would be a LOT of gold and a few tricky negotiations!
We had NO LUCK this year catching the Leprechaun BUT he did leave us a treat.
YUMMY!!!!
Ms. Smith also had our brains buzzing as we designed and built clever traps to lure a leprechaun inside!
In Math we learned about the number 8!
After reading the story 'Eight Legs Are Great' by Liza Charlesworth we made combinations for the number eight with spider legs.
ALWAYS LEARNING
In Religion we learned about the Hindu celebration Holi.
March was Multicultural Month, and we had the wonderful opportunity to experience two incredible performances. We enjoyed Big Steppers NL, an Indian cultural dance troupe based right here in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as Persio Domínguez, a renowned Latin musician and conductor of both the NL Latin Band and the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra.
Learning the importance of following instructions and directions as we make vanilla pudding!
We even got to eat it after!!!!
In Religion we met a puppet friend named Ruth who is Jewish and celebrates Passover, also known as Pesach. On the first night of Passover family and friends gather for a special meal called the Sedar meal.
WHAT A MARVELOUS MARCH INDEED!
I WONDER WHAT AMAZING LEARNING WILL HAPPEN IN APRIL!!
