Our First Day of Kindergarten!

Getting to Know Each Other!!

In Math we learned how to sort objects by colour and shape!!

We also learned about patterns and how to make AB and AAB patterns!!

In Religion we met a puppet friend named Mina. 

Mina is Muslim and they celebrate Aqiqah or naming ceremony.

In Science we talked about living and non-living things. 

We had fun sorting living and non-living pictures and spying them outside!

In Math we also learned about the shapes 'Circle' and 'Square'. 

We went on a 'I SPY' circle hunt in the classroom!!

Keeping our BODIES and MINDS healthy while doing YOGA!!!! 

What a GREAT way to start each afternoon!!!

After reading the story 'Chicka Chicka Boom Boom' by Bill Martin Jr and John Archambault 

we made our very own name trees.

We read the story 'Mr. Brown's Magnificent Apple Tree' by Yvonne Winer then had so much fun role playing!!!

Having fun with Ms. Smith in the STEAM room as we design leaf people!!

In Math we learned how to compare numbers using terms same as, more than and less than. 

We had so much fun playing a memory game.

Ms. Duke did a FANTASTIC job helping us learn about Terry Fox 

AND

 then we did our Terry Fox WALK!!!

LEARNING TO CODE!!!!

On Orange Shirt Day we read the story 'With Our Orange Hearts' by Phyllis Webstad. 

We talked about the importance of showing kindness, love and acceptance for EVERYONE.
