After reading 'Snowmen at Night' by Caralyn Buehner we brainstormed things we would do if we were a SNOWMAN, completed a writing activity, went outside to try and build a snowman and then did a Science experiment with our Grade Three Buddies using magnets to get our paper made snowmen to slide down the paper plate slides we made

Literacy Week
Family Literacy Day is held every year on January 27th to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in literacy activities. This year's theme was "Make mealtime family learning time". During our Literacy Week we took part in various activities that allowed us all to explore the world of literacy both in school and at home. Some of the activities we participated in was talking about our favourite foods, exploring family recipes, reading and learning about foods from around the world, a scavenger hunt looking for special utensils and kitchen items, food BINGO and so much more!

We had fun looking at our shadows and then read a story about groundhogs and made predictions.......
I WONDER ... Will the Groundhog see his shadow OR not?
Our pumpkin plants continue to GROW and GROW!!!!
We even added a tomato plant and have gotten flowers and tomatoes......now we wait for them to ripen!
