The competition might be coming up soon, meaning your robot needs to be at least functional. This is a final checklist, as to make sure your robot will run smoothly in the competition. In every competition, there is an inspection process, in which the staff inspects your robot for many elements. You can reference the Inspection Checklist for more information. (LINK)
Your robot should fit within a 18 x 18 x 18 inches cube, at least at the start of the match. During the inspection process, this will be measured, and if it does not fit, you could get disqualified.
Every team gets 2 pairs of license plates at the start of the year, 1 pair blue, and 1 pair red. These should be screwed onto the robot before the competition, so it could be identified during the game. It is recommended you screw it on so that the blue and red pairs can be interchanged quickly, as your team colour changes throughout competitions.
Intensional or not, the robot may not contain any components which could entangle other robots, or damage the field. Another rule is that components can not intentionally be detached during the game.
For most parts, the robot can only contain VEX parts. This means parts sold by VEX or another brand, as long as it is identical. An exception to this is acrylic. Acrylic pieces can be used to assist in structures and components and is widely used in professional teams as they are much lighter than steel or aluminium.
All electronics must be from VEX and there are only a certain number of them allowed.
Here are the maximums:
