In an effort to keep our NISD students engaged in literacy throughout the summer, secondary students will be required to read at least one book of their choice. 

Below you will find resources that give suggested titles for middle school and correspondence for high school expectations.

JOIN US IN EXPLORING LITERACY! 

We will host TWO professional book studies this summer to build content knowledge and community among our secondary ELA teachers.  All ELA teachers grades 6-12 can be a part of this summer learning! 

During three learning-rich days, educators have the opportunity to hear from and collaborate with colleagues and guest presenters over content, pedagogy, best practices, and technological techniques/strategies.
