AP US Government 

Course Expectations:

• Students are expected to read outside the classroom during the unit with the reading guide found below, or they can do notes according to their study preferences.  Their notes are turned in on test day. 

• There are four Free Response Questions students will learn; three consist of short responses and one is an essay with a thesis statement.  We do two or three Socratic Seminars, and there is a required Civics Project from College Board.

• Many of the assignments in class are done within groups.  The students are encouraged to maintain a journal to do graphic organizers.
