How will we transform our services?

The ‘Springboard’ transformation programme bridges and moves us from our current ways of working as the CRN to our new ways of working as the RDN; supporting studies to be effectively delivered across the system and building strategic capacity and capability in a different way.  The changes will ensure the research delivery services align with NIHR RDN’s primary purposes.

The programme currently has two distinct but interrelated areas of focus:

In order to enable the best outcomes, it is key that these changes are shaped collaboratively by current CRN staff, customers and stakeholders, with a foundational understanding of both why we are changing what the Network offers, and why we are moving prior to the launch of the full RDN.

This programme is working hand in hand with RDN Transition and Transformation, and is demonstrating now how we work as a single organisation to best meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders.

Resources are being developed to support the process change, as well as to support staff to change the ways we collaborate and work with our partners and each other. These include tools such as an animation and a podcast as well as workshops and structured conversations to understand what will be most helpful to support changes to ways of working. Please look out for how you can give your views and ideas to help shape our future services.
