Would you like to study qualifications that lead to university or degree level apprenticeships?
For most of our students, staying on in education is their first choice. There are two basic choices - College or Sixth Form. This section will focus on Sixth Form.
As a Nicholas Chamberlaine student, you will be offered a place in the Sixth Form as long as you meet the required grades.
As a Sixth Form student you will have the opportunity to study a number of different subjects and qualifications - for example A levels or vocational qualifications, or a combination of both.
As with all Sixth Forms, you may be expected to achieve certain grades to study a subject. For example, you are unlikely to be allowed to study Biology A level with a level 4 at GCSE. This is to make sure that you stand a good chance of passing. Remember, you will be studying these subjects in much more detail and so you should:
Choose subjects that you are good at
Choose subjects that you will enjoy
Choose subjects that you want to study in depth
For subjects you have not studied before, you should find out what the course covers and if there are any particular skills that you need.
As a Nicholas Chamberlaine student, you will be offered an interview for Sixth Form and a place so long as you meet the entry requirements. You can also apply to other Sixth Forms, but you will need to check their individual application requirements, including any deadlines to apply.
