Frontline is a tool that each school uses to track absences of teachers and assign substitute teachers to any absences or vacancies they have in their building. As such, it is essential that as a substitute teacher, you understand how to access the Frontline system and can pick up and drop jobs on your own. This greatly helps your registrar to know who, if anyone, will be filling the empty classroom that day.
Once your start date has arrived, you will receive an email with your username and password for Frontline. Please check both your personal and NHA email for an invitation to join. If you have questions or do not receive an email, please contact frontline@nhaschools.com
Open Frontline by clicking on the Frontline tile in myNHA, clicking here, or by typing aesoponline.com into your browser
Enter your provided username and password to sign in. If you have any issues logging in, please contact frontline@nhaschools.com for assistance.
Once you have access to your account and have successfully logged in, you can then start accepting jobs on Frontline! Below are examples of how you can use the Frontline system to make your job as a substitute easier.
View available jobs: any job that is still available for you to pick up can be seen on the calendar view highlighted green or in the "available jobs" tab. If you don't see any, you may contact your registrar to see if jobs are being entered into Frontline.
Pick up a job: to pick up a job, select the available job you wish to work and click the "accept" button on the right. If you do not wish to work that job, it is helpful if you click "reject" so your registrar knows if they will need to personally contact other substitutes to fill that day.
Viewing scheduled jobs: these are jobs that you have either accepted or that have been assigned to you by your registrar. Scheduled jobs show up as blue on the calendar view, or you can find them under the "scheduled jobs" tab.
Drop a job: if something comes up and you are no longer able to work a job you have accepted, go to the "scheduled jobs" tab and simply hit the "cancel" button on the job you are no longer able to work. Then select "yes, cancel job" to confirm.
To view past jobs, simply click on the "past jobs" tab under the calendar on the home page. You can also go to the "History" tab on the left of your screen to view both your past jobs worked and your past non-work days. If you notice there are days you worked that are missing from this tab, please contact your registrar to make sure those get input in the system.*
*If these past jobs worked are not accurate, you may not be eligible to receive the substitute incentive.
If there are any days that you know you will be unavailable and you don't want to receive a notification of open jobs, you can input them as "non-work days" directly into Frontline. Go to the non-work days tab next to the past jobs tab and click "add non-work day" in the top right corner. Then, input the details and hit the save button when you are finished. For more information on this and other topics, you can watch this video from Frontline.
Frontline has created a couple training videos that walk through the above information in a little more detail. If you have any questions on logging in, finding available jobs, changing your personal information such as your password, or how to access help resources, please watch their basic training video. If you have questions regarding viewing your scheduled and past jobs, creating non-work days, and changing call and notification preferences, please watch their advanced training video.
