The new PHE units kicked off on Monday 26th September. It’s been fantastic to see the learners embracing the challenges of their new activities. We’ve only had a few lessons so far due to the PHE staff being busy hosting the Year 3-11 Cross Country events on Tuesday and Wednesday - and what a spectacle that was, well done to all of the learners who showed so much enthusiasm and resilience.
As the October holidays are approaching, please start to think what you can do as a family to stay fit and active. Below are a few ideas but we would love for learners and their families to share their ideas with us to.
- can you walk 10,000 steps a day?
- can you cycle for 10KM with your family or friends?
- can you plan and cook a healthy meal?
- can you go to bed 1 hour earlier than usual?
- can you try out a new activity if you’re on an overseas holiday?
- can you reduce your screen time?
So many learners are taking part in a variety of after-school sports which is excellent. However, please remember to be organised so that you have clean PHE clothes to wear for your PHE lesson or training session. Extra PHE clothes can be purchased via the Parent Zone on the website.
