Climbathon 2022

This year's Climbathon event has been organised by a group of Year 13 CAS learners. It is running in line with our Sustainable Development Goals week 12th - 16th September. We are excited to run this whole school event to raise awareness and funds for the Nepal charity Pipal Tree.

In line with the SDG 11 - Sustainable cities and communities, Pipal Tree works with a rural community in Nepal to generate a sustainable future. Through education, reforestation and support for regeneration, the charity runs projects to empower the community to grow and develop. Education for the children in the community is a vital part of this sustainability goal.

Look out for more information on sponsorship and how to get involved in the coming weeks!

Year 7,8 and 9 Parents and Guardians,

Year 7 and Year 9 will be heading to Tioman Island, Malaysia and Year 8 will be going to Telunas, Indonesia.

This is a compulsory trip for all Year 7,8 and 9 learners and will have a focus on team building. Please note there are no lessons for Year 7,8 and 9 on site at Nexus during the residential trips weeks.

We will be holding Trip Information Evenings:

Year 8 - Tuesday 23 August from 6-7pm in the Auditorium

Year 7 - Wednesday 24 August from 5-6pm in the Auditorium

Year 9 - Wednesday 24 August from 6-7pm in the Auditorium

You can hear directly from the trip providers and there will be the opportunity to ask questions. No sign up is required for the Trip Information Evening but it is an important meeting for parents, guardians and learners to attend so that you can get a real sense of the trip. Learners can of course attend alone if parents or guardians are unable to make it.

The total cost of the trip will be $1,070 plus any visa charge, if applicable. Please note, a deposit of $200 will be required by Friday, 26 August. The balance of $870 is due one week prior to our departure, i.e. Monday 12 September. Payment can be made via this payment link.
