The Art Splash 2022 event opened on 2nd June, transforming the Atrium into a vibrant and stimulating exhibition space. Learners from Nursery to Year 6 exhibited a wide variety of art forms to share with the school community. It was exciting to welcome the Nexus community into the space to experience and see our young artist's work.
A wide range of artwork was on display including textiles stories from Year 6, ceramic creations from Year 5, Year 4’s cultural collages, Aboriginal inspired animals from Year 3, flip story books from Year 2, Year 1’s felt artworks, underwater explorations from Kindergarten and a wall full of bugs from our Nursery artists.
Thank you to all those who had a chance to pop in and share the exhibition. Well done to all of our Visual Art learners for contributing to such a vibrant display of learning.

Mr Kogi Oberoi (Chairman IMechE SG Branch)
Thanks to Mr Kogi Oberoi for his inspirational talk to Years 10 and 12, about his life as an engineer. He highlighted some of the solutions he had worked on to solve problems, and how this had impacted on different stakeholders and the environment. Several models were shown to help demonstrate his point, he did a tremendous job at relating his knowledge to everyday objects and problems. Thanks again Kogi, we hope to welcome you back to share your knowledge and experience with other learners and inspire some future engineers.
