Celebrating Our Learners

"Celebrating our Learners" aims to applaude our learners - who they are, the hard work they've put in, their achievements and their dreams.

Gauss Contest Results

Last month, all learners in years 7 and 8 took part in the CEMC’s Gauss Contest from the University of Waterloo, in Canada. Like the UKMT competition before it, this is another wonderful opportunity for our learners to apply their understanding of mathematics beyond the classroom, in unfamiliar and challenging contexts.

This competition is also very well-known internationally, with over 50 000 learners in Canada and around the world taking part this year. We are delighted to announce that, once again, our learners performed exceptionally well. The following learners achieved distinction:

Year 7

Brian Lee, Kaspar Rhys, Oliver Sykes, Ayush Sinha, Chongyun Zhao, Tony Zhang, Yeonhoh Cho, Isabel Lee, David Laufik, Guanbo Wang, Jolly Jiao, Satomi Tomioka, Laras Perkins, Xiaoer Wang, Mia Serong, Timmy Fu, Emily Donaldson, Jasmine Bhatia, Emma Pracy, Lauren Chan, Freddie McLaughlin, Zoe Li, and Eishin Arita.

Again, we want to congratulate and thank all our learners. We are really looking forward to this contest and more next year.
