Honors Calculus

AP Calculus AB

AP Calculus BC

Our Honors Calculus and AP Calculus AB classes will introduce students to the ideas and applications of single-variable differential calculus and to the foundations of single-variable integral calculus. This will include, but not be limited to, the definitions and applications of limits, continuity, the derivative, and the definite and indefinite integral. AP Calculus BC completes all of the above, as well as polar calculus, parametric calculus, sequences, and series.

Both AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC culminate with the AP Exam in May.

Indefinite integrals are covered in our Honors Calculus, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC courses; however, the rigor and pace differ. An example of this difference can be seen below.

Here is an example of an indefinite integral problem using u-substitution, which would be completed in our Honors Calculus course, with the solution.

Here is an example of an indefinite integral problem using double u-substitution, which would be completed in our AP Calculus AB course, with the solution.
