Curiosity and Interest

There is a great deal of research around the concept of curiosity.  In today's age of information, the idea is that students learn and remember more by being curious and finding out the answers to their own questions.  Math teachers, like other educators, utilize strategies and approaches that provide opportunities for inquiry-based learning.  This inspires learners to be inquisitive, to take risks, and to find ways of "finding out" the answers to their questions and solving complex problems.
