Work Ethic

A strong work ethic continues to have a powerful impact on how successful learners are in school.  This is extremely significant in mathematics where consistent practice supports students' ability to solve problems and deepen their understanding for abstract concepts that form the building blocks of math.

As parents and educators, the key to promoting a strong work ethic is to define expectations clearly, provide ongoing and meaningful feedback, reward students for their effort and improvement, and provide guidance, when necessary.  All learners must constantly ask themselves key questions:  What does hard work look like? How about responsibility or productivity?
