College Prep B Algebra 1 Foundations Part 1

College Prep B Algebra 1 Foundations Part 2

College Prep B Algebra Foundations Part 3

Our Algebra Foundations course sequence accommodates those students whose organizational skills and basic mathematical skills need reinforcement. Algebra 1 Foundations Part 1 includes Pre-Algebra and the beginning of Algebra 1. The Part 1 topics include: properties of algebra, linear equations, inequalities and their applications, and relations and linear functions.

Algebra 1 Foundations Part 2 picks up where Part 1 leaves off. The topics taught in Part 2 include: solving and graphing linear functions and inequalities, systems of linear equations and inequalities, properties of exponents, and graphing exponential functions.

Finally, Algebra Foundations Part 3 finishes the Algebra 1 topics not completed in Part 2 and starts Algebra 2 content. The topics taught in Part 3 include: quadratics, functions, domain and range, and nonlinear systems of equations.

Here is an example of solving a multi-step linear equation problem that can be found in our Algebra 1 Foundations Part 1 course, with the answer.

Here is an example of writing the equation of a line given a slope and a point in slope-intercept form that can be found in our Algebra 1 Foundations Part 2 course, with the answer.

Here is an example of factoring a quadratic expression with a leading coefficient of one that can be found in our Algebra Foundations Part 3 course, with the answer.
