Schedules

All cast on Monday 10/2/22 will be in the Auditorium.  If you are unable to make it, please email the stage managers at froshcab2023@gmail.com

This schedule is the "regular" weekly schedule.   Please check the schedule weekly via email and website, as there are occasional tweaks.     First week and final two weeks schedules are also in this document.  Details of the final two weeks will be fleshed out closer to date.  If you have any problems with the schedule, will be absent, or conflicts arise, please contact the stage managers at froshcab2023@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Schedules and Conflicts

A "conflict" is a regular commitment or an irregular occurrence (e.g. doctor's appointment) that would prevent you from attending rehearsal.

Regular rehearsals

From casting through two weeks before the show, students should expect to have 1 full cast rehearsals per week (1.5 hrs each) and one additional rehearsal (30-60 minutes each) for each additional piece (dance, skit or song) that they are cast in. If you have many conflicts, you may be cast for fewer additional pieces.  Schedules will tend to be similar from week to week, but some adjustments may happen as the production cycle progresses, so students should always check the weekly rehearsal schedule.

Half Days

On half days, schedules may be adjusted earlier, or additional rehearsals may be scheduled.  Please pay extra attention to schedules those weeks as things may be different than usual.

Tech weeks including tech Saturday

November 28- December 18, 2022

"Tech" week is the last week before the week of the show including an all day tech rehearsal on SATURDAY. Students should clear all but the most critical conflicts during these weeks (i.e. try not to schedule doctor's appointments, cancel non-essential lessons, etc.) as we often have longer, more frequent rehearsals with full runs of the show.  Such absences must be declared at the time of auditions. Examples of allowable conflicts would be the observance of Shabbat or other religious ceremony/holiday, a major family event (e.g. wedding), or something of similar importance level. OTHERWISE, THESE REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY.  Any conflict not listed at the time of auditions must be communicated to the Stage Managers ASAP and cleared with an advisor.

Production week: Dress rehearsals and the Show!

December 11-12: Dress rehearsals

December 13, 14, 15: The Show

Production week is the Monday - Wednesday leading up to the show and the show dates. Typically this time is for dress rehearsals and performance.

Strike

Monday, December 18, 2022

Typically, the Monday after the show is strike. The full cast is called to help clean up all Theatre Ink areas in preparation for the next show. If students are unable to attend, they will need to complete three crew hours before trying out for another show.

Notification of conflicts

In the audition packet, please list all known conflicts from September through December.

If you have any new conflicts arise, it is your (the freshman's) responsibility to contact the stage managers (froshcab2023@gmail.com) in advance regarding this conflict.  If a conflict falls during tech or production weeks, you must get your conflict cleared with and an Advisor (Ms. Goldthwaite and/or Ms. Meszko-Cameron).

Absences

Absences due to illness should also be reported to the stage managers (froshcab2023@gmail.com) as soon as they are known. If students are absent from school they may not attend rehearsal after school (excepting short, excused absences for doctor’s appointments and the like.)  Students with multiple absences will be required to meet with a Faculty Advisor to assess continued participation in Freshman Cabaret.

Other Involvement

Fall sports:

Fall sports end soon enough that we can often work around your practice and game schedule. Please email that schedule to the stage managers (froshcab2023@gmail.com) and an Advisor (Ms. Goldthwaite and/or Ms. Meszko-Cameron) for our use during scheduling, along with your coach's name and contact information.

Winter sports:

Winter sports can be a major conflict with the show. Being able to participate in both is contingent upon the agreement of the coach to release you for the Frosh Cab schedule during tech and production week. If you make a commitment to Freshman Cabaret, and your coach does not approve participation based on our rehearsal schedule, you will not be able to participate in the winter sport.

Trying out for other Theatre Ink shows:

Students may try out for other fall shows, but may have limited involvement in Freshman Cabaret to accommodate that rehearsal schedule if cast.
