Essentially everything you create in Google Workspace Apps (Doc, Slides, Sheets...) is stored in Google Drive
Just leave "Shared with Me" and your Google Classroom Folders alone
If someone shared something with you and you want to put it in a folder in your drive - click the snowman on the item, choose "Organize", "Create a Shortcut" and choose a location for the shortcut. This does not copy the item, it essentially creates a link to the item.
Each Google Classroom that is created creates a Folder and each assignment a sub-folder.
Name things starting with a number or emoji - Google will sort by number/emoji
Emojis are great for visually grouping like items
Color code your folders to make them easy to identify
The permissions of a folder are also granted to everything you put inside
Want to move something into a folder - drag and drop!
Search is your friend in Drive: filter by type, owner, date modified, etc!
Star your most frequently used items - you can find them under "starred"
Just created something? Check "Recent"
