Initiated the first High School football team in Fort Saskatchewan
Active in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan in organizing amateur football refereeing
Coached football seven years and softball for four
Recipient of the J. Percy Page Recreation Award for Recreational Leadership in Alberta communities
Completed Birkenbeiner Cross Country Marathon in 1999
Member of the 2000 organizing committee for the Trans Canada Trail Relay, setting pace on his bicycle and receiving a medal of special recognition for his work
Four year member on the River Valley Alliance Committee, developing a trail system and recreation valley from Fort Saskatchewan to Devon, alberta, a length of 88 km
Five years organizing the five K run in Fort Saskatchewan
Thirteen years as a Boy Scout leader
An avid cross country and downhill skier, Keith volunteers as a Ski Patroller at Rabbit Hill in Edmonton
