Census > Reports > CRDC and BEDS Breakdown
The CRDC and BEDS Breakdown view and report provide totals on male/female breakdowns, as well as additional breakdown options for Ethnicity/Race, Grade, and 504/LEP, allowing users to more quickly and easily locate information required for BEDS reporting.

Prepare For Marking Period Grading
This includes the following tasks:
Verify Marking Period unlock date: Maintenance > School Year > Configuration
Verify comment bank is in place: Maintenance > Grading > Comment Bank
Verify reports are in place: Maintenance > Application > Report Format
Verify report card Assignment tab is set up for each School Level: Maintenance > Application > Report Format > Traditional Report Card/Descriptor Report Card > Assignment Tab
Verify report card My Home View tab is set up for 2025-2026 so Parent and Student Portal format is available for report card printing: Maintenance > Application > Report Format > Traditional Report Card/Descriptor Report Card > My Home View tab
Progress Reports
Progress Report time is right around the corner. It is highly recommended that you run Progress Reports in advance. This is especially true for any district using Custom Progress Reports. If you need any assistance in testing your Progress Reports, please contact us. We are happy to help!
3-8 Assessments
We can import students' 3-8 assessments into your SchoolTool database!
Once the final data warehouse Assessment Fact file is available, simply send us an email asking to have your district's 3-8 assessment scores loaded into SchoolTool. Currently, we expect Assessment Fact files to be available in early October.
Student Photos
We Can Upload Student Photos into SchoolTool
Request a secure link to send your student photos.
File format must be StudentID.jpeg (ex. 98765.jpeg).

**UPK Program Service Codes**
To support NYS reporting requirements for the 2025-2026 school year, the new UPK Program Service Codes have been added as of the most recent release!
Effective September 24, 2025 - you can now add these new program service codes to student records.
Instructor Type Code
A new Instructor Type Code field is available in the Export Options pop-up on the Faculty History screen of the Master Schedule Editor. By default this is set to None. Districts can select "Substitute" or "College Course" if needed based on SIRS guidance.

Features 🎉
Online Registration - Receive Student Data (Continued): As part of a continued effort to improve the Online Registration experience, enhancements have been made to the Addresses section of the existing Receive Student Data screen.
NYS Updates for Program Service Codes and Assessments: Changes have been made throughout SchoolTool to correspond with NYSED reporting requirements. This includes the addition of new NYS Program Service Codes and assessments for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as additional assessment subtest identifier (short code) updates.
Honor Alternate Enrollments in Additional Areas (Continued): Updates have been made to the Period Attendance Report found in Attendance > Attendance Reports to honor students with alternate enrollments.
